Vacation Activities at the Rental Chateau

Here at chateau Lagorce you will never be short of things to do, whether it be an on site activity or a short trip in the car. To simplify things we have organized the activities into the following categories:-

People often stay on site for the duration of their holiday, only getting in the car for essentials, this speaks volumes about the on site activities listed below.

• Swimming - Chateau Lagorce has a huge 23 X 5 meter swimming pool.
• Fishing - There is a 6 acre Private Carp lake at the foot of the monumental staircase.
• Caving - Discover our 8 acre private cave network.
• Golf - Practice your iron shots up the valley.
• Snooker - Try your hand on our Professional Full size Rileys snooker table.
• Table Tennis - Again a high end table.
• Woodland Walks -10 hectares of ancient Roman terraced woodland with fonts and caves.
• Painting - although we do not supply the materials we do supply the picturesque views.
• Bicycle Rides - Starting from the chateau its always best to start by going uphill, and return downhill.
• Walks in the Vines.

Off site Activities at the Rental Castle

In the immediate vicinity of the chateau there are lots more facilities, and more activities that are a little further away, each activity /place to visit listed below has its distance from the chateau in brackets.

• Tennis - the local Village Haux of population 300 has its own tennis court (usually empty) - (2 kms)
• Tree Top Adventure - Brilliant fun for everyone (5kms).
• Water skiing / Wake boarding - In crystal blue man made lake (5kms).
• Market days -  A lot of local towns have market days throughout the year (5-20 kms).
• Visit Lagorce's Chai - Your chance to learn all about the wine making process (1km).
• Wine Buffet - Learn all about the wine process whilst having a lunchtime bite to eat (1km).
• Wine Taste - With thousands of local vineyards you'll never run out of wines to taste(5kms).
  
• Horse Riding - Just around the corner, but still in the rolling hills of the premier cote (5kms).
  
• River Boat Tours - Take a trip along the Garonne or Dordogne (10-15 kms).
• Karting - Bordeaux boasts 3 different circuits (15-25 kms).
• La Sauve Majeure - Visit the renowned Abbey (5kms).
  
• Bordeaux Center - A World Heritage site, sometimes overlooked by our clients (20kms).
  
• St Emilion - A World Heritage site with Monolithic Church / Center of the wine world (20kms).
  
• The Dune du Pyla - Europe's largest sand dune (50kms).
  
• Golf Courses - We have 6/7 good golf courses within an hour (15-50kms).
  
• Canoeing - On the Dordogne river. (60kms).
